It is a festival of lights and festivities. Diwali or Deepawali means a row or collection of lamps. The festival of Diwali marks the happy return of lord Rama to Ayodhya after fourteen year’s exile. This festival which falls every year 20 days after the festival of Dussehra in the month of October or November.  Hindus regard it as a celebration of life and use the occasion to strengthen family and relationships. At this day, everyone performs puja of Goddess Lakshmi and God Ganesha and then distributes gifts and sweets to their friends, neighbors and relatives.
